You can choose between two operating modes to keep your meds chilled:

• ❄️ Passive cooling with the included Biogel pack. 

Each method ensures dependable temperature control to keep your medications protected—whether you're driving, flying, or away from power sources.

Biogel Cooling Pack Refrigerated Case (No Power Required)

Perfect for off-grid adventures, long flights, or days without electricity.

1️⃣ Prepare the Biogel Cooling Pack: Shake it well 4–5 times to evenly distribute the gel inside.

2️⃣ Freeze for 6–8 Hours: Place it in your freezer overnight. Longer freezing is fine and won’t damage the pack.

3️⃣ Defrost Lightly Before Use: Before inserting it into the mini medical fridge, warm the surface slightly by soaking in lukewarm water for 2–3 minutes or leaving at room temp for 10–15 minutes. This prevents frost from freezing your medication.

4️⃣ Load and Go: Dry the Biogel cooling pack, insert it in the cooler tube, load your medications, and use the regular (non-USB) lid. You're all set!

Cooling Time in Biogel Cooling Pack Mode:

🌡️ Mild Conditions (30°C): The travel refrigerator keeps your medication refrigerated (2–8°C) for up to 32 hours and cool below 26°C for up to 52 hours. 

🌡️  Hot Conditions (35°C): The travel refrigerator keeps your medication refrigerated (2–8°C) for up to 30 hours and cool below 26°C for up to 48 hours. 

🌡️ Extreme Heat (40°C): The travel refrigerator keeps your medication refrigerated (2–8°C) for up to 28 hours and cool below 26°C for up to 46 hours. 

USB Refrigerator Mode

When power is available, plug in the USB lid of your RxCoolers Max travel refrigerator for insulin and medicine to ensure steady, long-term refrigeration. Its USB-C to USB-A cable is compatible with:

1️⃣ Load Your Meds: Place your insulin pens, vials, or other medications into the cooling chamber.

2️⃣ Plug In and Chill: Close the fridge using the USB lid and connect it to a power source. Cooling begins instantly.

USB Cooling Performance:

🌡️ Mild and Hot Conditions (up to 35°C): The travel refrigerator keeps medication refrigerated between 2-8°C as long as it is powered by electricity.

🌡️ Extreme Heat (40°C): The travel refrigerator keeps medication cool below 26°C as long as it is powered by electricity (not refrigerated).

Care & Maintenance Tips

To keep your medical travel refrigerator in top condition over the years:

✅ Keep the USB lid upright and ensure ventilation holes are unobstructed.

✅ Use a cool hair dryer or air compressor to dust the vents every few weeks.

✅ Unplug the unit for 15–20 minutes after every 4 days of continuous use.

✅ Wipe the stainless steel parts with a damp cloth. Clean the aluminum or Biogel elements gently with a soft cloth.

🚫 Do not immerse the mini fridge in water.

🚫 Avoid harsh cleaning agents or abrasive materials.

🚫 Avoid extended continuous operation without short resting periods.

💡 Aluminum parts may oxidize over time—clean gently with a designated aluminum cleaner if needed.
